Privacy Policy

Account data — if you sign up as a maker: your email, a hashed password, and the tools you've claimed.

Payment data — if you subscribe to Pro ($9/mo): handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Email delivery data — your email address and delivery status for transactional emails (claim invites, password resets, notifications), sent via BillionMail.

Analytics data — only after you accept the cookie banner: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, via Google Analytics. See "Cookies & consent" below.

Anti-bot verification — the /submit form runs a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge. It doesn't set a tracking cookie or build a profile of you.

Publicly-sourced tool data — BuildMole's feed is built from public posts on Reddit, X, Bluesky, GitHub, Hacker News, Mastodon, and Threads. This was already public when posted. We don't collect anything from private accounts or direct messages.

To run your account and match maker tools to buyer requests (functionality), to prevent fraud and abuse of the claim process (security), and to understand which pages actually get used so we can improve the product (analytics — with your consent).

The sign-in session cookie is essential and always active — without it you can't stay signed in. Google Analytics only fires after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on first visit; clicking "Reject" means no analytics cookies are set and you're not individually tracked. You can clear your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for buildmole.com.

If you're in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data under GDPR. Email hello@buildmole.com and we'll handle it directly — there's no support ticket system to route through. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Convex — database and backend hosting.

Cloudflare — edge network, CDN, and security.

Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.

BillionMail — transactional email delivery.

Google Analytics — site analytics, only with your consent.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' standard retention settings. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@buildmole.com.
